Human Physical Stress and Regulation of MovementLaajuus (5 cr)

Code: BB00DK01

Objective

The Student is able to

- recognize the importance of health and its components in promoting human well-being and health.
- explains the components of physical condition and how different loads affect the functioning of the body
- choose different methods for measuring different aspects of fitness and can draw conclusions from measurement results.
- uses testing of different aspects of health as part of promoting the client's health and performance.
- can explain the structural and functional division of the nervous system with its tasks
- can explain the function of the neuromuscular system and the mechanism of muscle contraction

Content

- Health and its aspects
- Components of physical condition and load
- Measuring different aspects of physical condition and analyzing the results
- Testing physical fitness as part of promoting health and performance
- The structure and function of the nervous system
- Neuromuscular system and muscle contraction

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Student

- insufficiently recognizes the importance of health and its components in promoting human well-being and health.
- insufficiently explains the components of physical fitness and how different loads affect the functioning of the body
- doesn't know how to choose different methods for measuring different parts of fitness and can draw conclusions from measurement results poorly.
- knows how to mechanically and superficially test different aspects of health as part of promoting the client's health and performance.
- can barely explain the structural and functional division of the nervous system and its tasks
- can incompletely explain the function of the neuromuscular system and the mechanism of muscle contraction

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Student

- can broadly recognize the importance of health and its components in promoting human well-being and health.
- partially explains the components of physical condition and how different loads affect the functioning of the body
- can partially choose different methods for measuring different parts of fitness and partially draw conclusions from the measurement results.
- partially uses the testing of different aspects of health as part of promoting the client's health and performance.
- explains in outline the structural and functional division of the nervous system and its tasks
- partially explains the function of the neuromuscular system and the mechanism of muscle contraction

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student

- can recognize the importance of health condition and its components in the promotion of human well-being and health.
- can explain precisely the components of physical condition and how different loads affect the functioning of the body
- knows how to choose versatile and different methods for measuring different aspects of fitness and can draw accurate conclusions from measurement results.
- knows how to extensively test different aspects of health as part of promoting the client's health and performance.
- can explain precisely and extensively the structural and functional division of the nervous system and its tasks
- can explain precisely the function of the neuromuscular system and the mechanism of muscle contraction
