Objective

Occupational and environmental safety in construction
Students are competent in regarding the effects of agreements from the perspective of occupational and environmental safety.

Competence in the construction process
- The student is familiar with the most commonly used terms and conditions of building construction and their special features.
- The student is familiar with the modes of action of legislation and of terms of contract to contractual relations.
- The student knows the basics of contract management and understands the responsibilities and obligations of contracting parties. The student understands how the responsibilities and obligations are formed.
-The student knows the basics of planning and supervising on-site procurement.
- The student knows the main stages of procurement planning.
-The student knows the practices and processes of construction case laws
- The student understands the use of design contracts and contract works on site as tools for controlling a construction project
-Students become familiar with the application of KSE2018 contract terms in consultancy, interpretation of contract terms in case of conflict
-Students become familiar with the application of YSE 1998 contract terms in main and subcontracting, interpretation of contract terms in case of conflict
-Students become familiar with the application of RYHT2000 contract terms in procurement, interpretation of contract terms in case of conflict
-The student knows the content of contract negotiations and how they work
- The student is able to draw up a contract.
- The student knows the basics of consulting and contracting
-The student can distinguish between modifications and additional work and knows the special measures required in the contract

The students have performed the given tasks. The students can define the basic terms in the conditions of contracts of procurements, consultancy and contracting. They know the fundaments of the stipulations KSE 2018, YSE 1998 and RYHT2000. They know the main principles of the mode of operation in legal praxis in construction. The students can draw up simple contracts based on the conditions of contract.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students have performed the given tasks well and participated in the course actively. The students can define the terms in the conditions of contracts of procurements, consultancy and contracting. They know the main points of the stipulations KSE 2018, YSE 1998 and RYHT2000. They know the mode of operation in legal praxis in construction. The students can draw up contracts based on the conditions of contract. The students can apply their knowledge to different situations and challenges in construction projects.
