Objective

The student is able to
- identify the main research principles and procedures
- define the basic concepts of research
- understand the stages of the research process
- identify the key research methods
- plan and conduct a small-scale survey or interview and report its results
- consider ethical aspects

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student recognizes the basics of research and is able to describe the basic concepts and the importance of research ethics. The student can describe some research methods. The student participates with guidance in the planning, implementation and reporting of the research.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student can explain and define the concepts related to research. The student is able to evaluate research methods and processes, form a research design and define research ethics. The student plans and implements research as well as analyses and interprets research results in an active manner.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can define and evaluate research concepts, methods and research process. The student can describe and analyse the research design and evaluate research ethical aspects in an excellent way. The student shows responsibility and commitment in planning and implementing research and critically analyses and interprets the results.

The assessment of the course is based on assignments.
