Food industry has a crucial role as a provider, producer and developer of food. The food industry is under development and being globalized, which creates a need for knowledge and know-how. In the food sector, duties are versatile and workers are required to be skillful.
The Food Developer (30 ECTS) study module provides explanations for the phenomena in food manufacturing. The student will understand the importance of process phases in the food industry. The student will obtain skills in developing new food products and manufacturing processes. The module also provides a good understanding in the operational environment of the food industry. The student also be familiarized with food law and food safety issues.
