Objective

The student is able to
- define factors influencing customer behaviour and changes in it
- recognise the different customer groups of library and information service organisations, their infomration needs, and motives related to customership
- plan the way customer information should be collected and utilised at the library
- consider the operations and service development of a library from the perspective of customer-orientation and customer cooperation and recognise the features of a customer-oriented organisational culture
- renew concepts of customer work
- explain the role of customer relationship management as a modus operandi of the organisation
- define the key concepts and tools of customer relation management

The student is able to list the key areas and goals of customer relation management. The student recognises the key concepts of customer relation management and their content. The student is able to explain the importance of target-group thinking and customer data for customer relation management.

The student is able to analyse customer relation management and it role for the development of operations. They understand customer strategy and are able to choose suitable customer targets, forms of engagement in participation and ways of collecting customer data for different customer groups. The student is able to mention new opportunities for customer relationship management.

The student is able to analyse the present state of customer relation management and the prospects of customer-oriented operations in various ways. They can also explain their importance for the development of library operations. The student is able to implement forms of customer cooperation and the collection and utilisation of customerdraft a customer strategy, define the customer objetives, and consider the related indicators and evaluation methods.

Objective

Note: This course applies only to students with a Diploma in Library and Information Services.

The purpose of the Practical Training is to provide students will skills in independently finding a practical training placement based on their professional goals and making an employment contract with an employer, planning a training scheme together with the supervisor at the workplace, applying the knowledge and skills they have learned while studying in practice developing those skills. The Students will be working as an active, communicative members in the work community. They are able to n report about their practical training period according to the degree programme's set guidelines.

Content

Participation in the information sessions, finding a practical training placement and making an employment contract, Job orientation, Taking part in various duties as opportunities arise.
Compilation of a final report at the end.
Seminar presentation of the experiences encountered during practical training,

Pass:
The student has completed all the parts and tasks of practical training:
- participation in information events related to practical training
- the training is guided by a person designated by the place of training;
- search for a traineeship position and signing of a traineeship contract
- 7-week full-time practical training at the selected workplace
- Traineeship completed several days a week for your part-time job
- Trainee completed in one episode at the same place
- evaluation discussion at the workplace and submitting an evaluation form to the teacher in charge of practical training
- submission of a final report of the traineeship period
- participation in the final reporting event

Objective

Upon completion of the course, students will be competent in distinguishing between the various genres of literature for children and youth. They will understand the main characteristics of the history of literature for children and youth, know the well-known authors and the works they have produced. They will be able to name the most popular works and classics (+ authors) in Europe and the Western World written for children and youth. Students will also be competent in selecting appropriate material for various situations, e.g. for book recommendations and story hours for children.

Literary genres for children and youth, history and current situation in literature for children and youth, Western and European classic writers of literature for children and youth and their works, telling about the contents of and using literature for children and youth in various situations, e.g. story hours for children and book recommendations.

In addition to previous criteria the student is able to create new and inspiring ways of introducing children´s and youth fiction and tell about the books.

Objective

Having completed the course the student is able to explain what multiliteracies mean. S(h)e is able to distinguish between literacies and analyze the role of media education from the promoting literacies point of view. The student is able to present the importance of different kinds of literacies in learning. The student is able to justife the importance of co-operation between the school and the library. Students are able to recognize the importance of media education and multiliteracy as part of their sustainability skills.

They know well the methods of media education and are able to give examples of their utilization in library environment and in cooperation between libraries and schools. The student understands the connection between phenomenon-based learning and multiliteracies.

5 = The student has an excellent understanding of the content, different areas and the importance of multiliteracies. The student is able to analyze the importance of media education in the promotion of multiliteracies. They know the share of multiliteracies in the curriculum of basic education and understands the relation between phenomenon-based learning and multiliteracies. The student is able to give reasons why cooperation between libraries and schools is important and to present and plan different forms of cooperation aimed at promoting multiliteracies.
