Objective
The student
-is able to plan, implement and evaluate the monitoring of children's growth and development in public health care of children.
-carries out health monitoring of children's clinic independently and the guidance related to them.
-knows how to help children and his/hers family to make health-promoting choices.
-provides guidance on the vaccines needed by the children's clinic client and vaccinates safely.
-can support parenting, relationships, and family life in public health care of children.
-can recognize the health challenges of the child and the family and guide them.
-is able to work in a multi-professional way for the benefit of the child and the family and to assess the need for special support and follow-up care for the child and his or her family.
-can maintain and promote a safe growth community and environment in cooperation with child and family.

Practical training in child health clinics.

Theoretical studies on public health nursing of children and their families, drug calculations.

-is able to independently perform health examinations and related guidance in a child health clinic.
-can provide guidance on the vaccines the client needs and vaccinates safely in public health care of children.
-works in a client-oriented, responsible and client-safe manner in public health nurse work.
-can listen, support, and guide the client and his / her family as needed in public health nurse work.
-works in public health nursing safely and in accordance with professional ethical principles.
-identifies the special support needs of the child and the family and is able to refer to follow-up care appropriately if necessary.
-works as an expert in public health nursing in inter-professional cooperation and multidisciplinary groups.
