Objective

The student knows how to
• examine the role and significance of competence management in the operations of companies.
• basic concepts related to competence and competence management.
• combines the strategy of the company and the skills required in the company.
• practices for identifying, assessing, and developing competence.
• form an overall picture of the role of the supervisor in the different dimensions of competence management.
• outline the development of new knowledge at the individual, group, and company levels.

Content

basic concepts of competence and competence management, different possibilities of competence identification and assessment and its development in the company, different dimensions of competence management, individual and company competence, SECI model.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Approved performance requires approved completion of all tasks. In the assignments, the student demonstrates an understanding of the company's strategy and the connection to the company's expertise and considers their importance to the success of business operations. The student demonstrates that he / she recognizes the basic concepts of competence and competence management. He / she is able to describe the different dimensions of managerial competence management, tools for competence assessment and development. He / she is able to present with practical examples the course of knowledge development from individual knowledge to the level and to the making of the company.
