Objective

Upon competition of the course, students will
- Be familiar with chemical safety factors, and be able to apply them in laboratory work
- Be able to identificate and write elements and compounds, chemical formulas and reaction equations
- Be able to understand sigfinication of chemical phenomenons on his own field of study
- Be able to interpret and to apply for different chemical tables it's about practice
- Be able to calculate various kinds of chemical problems

Content

The course includes both an inorganic and organic chemistry phenomenons:
The course deals with:
- Identification and writing of Chemical formulas and reaction equations
- Interpret chemical tables
- diverse range of calculation problems
- Chemical Safety in practise
- Materialchemistry (as self-study presentation)

Qualifications

No previous studies are required.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student knows and understands to a basic concepts and methods of inorganic and orcanic chemistry, and is able to apply them to usual problems.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is familiar with the concepts and methods of chemistry, and is able to apply them to different types of problems. The student is able to combine the accumulated knowledge and skills with previous experiences in the subject.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is familiar with the concepts and methods of chemistry, and is able to apply them to a variety of different problems. The student has demonstrated creativity and innovation, and is able to find new meanings when applying what they have learned.
