Objective

The student is able to promote public health and reduce health inequalities between population groups. The student is able to identify the customer's resources, health protection and strengthening factors, and is able to help customers identify their own resources in maintaining health. The student is able to find and support clients, families and communities who are in need of special support and are at risk of exclusion. The student is able to choose and use the customer's inclusive and impressive operating models and working methods at the individual, group and community levels. The student is able to use ICT in his/ her work with other experts.

Content

Promotional and preventive perspective as a starting point for health nursing work.
A resource-efficient and empowering workplace. The empowerment of the customer (individual, family, group, community), finding ways to strengthen resources, health literacy. Dialogue, customer involvement, phoning and early support. The nature of customer relationships in nursing (e.g. continuity, longevity). Supporting partnership and promoting family health. Customer / community analysis, welfare reports, community health promotion. Communality, networking and low-threshold services. Customer-driven use of technology-driven operating models and working methods.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Grade 1-2
The student
- demonstrates the management of the knowledge base of the various areas of health care and expertly applies it in health care
- is capable of independent decision-making in different health care situations and environments
- acts considering the needs of the client and his/her family in health care
- is able to listen, support and guide the client and his/ her family in health care
- demonstrates the management of individual, group and community health promotion methods
- assumes responsibility for the overall care and service process of the client in health care
- independently searches for evidence-based information, uses it and assesses it critically in health care and its development
- is able to develop himself/herself and health-care activities and safety in accordance with the principles of professional ethics
- develops activities as a health care expert in multidisciplinary groups and projects

Grade 3-4
The student

- is capable of independent decision-making in different health care situations and environments
- operates in a customer-oriented, responsible and safe manner in health care
- is able to listen, support and guide individual clients and their families in health care
- is able to promote group health
- acts as a nurse considering safety and in accordance with the principles of professional ethics
- evaluates and critically uses evidence-based information for health care development
- acts as a health care expert in multidisciplinary groups and projects
- is able to develop himself/herself and health care activities

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Grade 5
The student
- demonstrates the wide-ranging management of the knowledge base of the various areas of health care and expertly applies it in health care
- is capable of independent decision-making in different health care situations and environments
- acts according to the needs of the client and his/her family in health care
- is able to listen, support and guide the client and his/ her family in health care
- demonstrates the management of individual, group and community health promotion methods
- assumes responsibility for the overall care and service process of the client in health care
- independently searches for evidence-based information, uses it and assesses it critically in health care and its development

- insufficiently justifies activities in health care

- does not take adequate account of ethical principles in the field of health care
- has insufficient capacity to participate in health care development work
