Objective

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Students know how to
- assess physical activity using a questionnaire and activity diary
- take into consideration the safety regulations and risk factors in fitness testing
- assess musculoskeletal fitness, cardiorespiratory fitness, balance, agility and body composition of individuals with no known illnesses
- define validity and reliability and evaluate the validity and reliability of assessment tools before choosing and using them.

The ALPHA-FIT Test Battery for Adults Aged 18-69

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass:
The student can assess physical activity using questionnaires and activity diaries. The student can choose correct tests and assess musculoskeletal fitness, cardiorespiratory fitness, balance, agility and body composition of individuals with no known illnesses. The student understands the safety regulations and risk factors in fitness testing, as well as the importance of validity and reliability when choosing and using assessment tools.

Fail:
The student cannot assess physical activity using questionnaires and activity diaries. The student cannot choose correct tests or assess musculoskeletal fitness, cardiorespiratory fitness, balance, agility or body composition of individuals with no known illnesses. The student does not understand the safety regulations and risk factors in fitness testing and does not pay attention to the importance of validity and reliability when choosing and using assessment tools.
