Objective

The overall aim of this practical training is to familiarise students with essential work duties in the field of construction and to provide them an opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge in practice. Another aim is to integrate theoretical knowledge and practice and give a realistic overview of the requirements and practices of construction field.

Content

Familiarisation with work duties, construction techniques, occupational safety and various workplace practices in the field of construction. Students draw up a report for their practical training period. Students also regularly write learning diaries throughout the practical training period.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student gives in the report, the diary and the testimonial to his/her supervisor after the training period.

The minimum extent of the practical training period is 5 cr. During the first and second year of study, students may undertake a maximum of 15 cr of practical training.
