Objective

Students know the strategic management process and the most important methodologies used in strategic planning. They also can execute the methodologies using case studies.

Students can apply advanced Strategic management such as Competitive Matrix, Michael Porter's Five Industry Forces, QPSM (Quantitative Planning Strategic Matrix), and Balanced Score Card tools to a specific project.

Students can apply analytical Thinking to develop a full strategic Business Plan for a new strategic Business Unit.

Content

The methodologies of strategic management, the typical steps of the strategic process chain: strategic analysis, conceptualization and strategic control, theory and in practice to instruments such as environmental scans, early warning systems, core competence analysis, SWOT, portfolio analysis, life-cycle analysis, blue ocean methodology, and balanced scorecard.
