Objective

Student can explain the difference between scientific and everyday thinking. Student can critical thinking and argumentation. Student recognizes and defines needs and targets of research and development in work life. Student plans and gives reasons for a research and development process according to ethical principles.

Content

Differences and commonalities in scientific and everyday thinking.
Critical thinking and argumentation. Critical examination in practical work.
Formulation of research questions and needs analysis in research and development. Various approaches to research and development, for example the process approach, research-aided development, action research and evaluation research.
Ethics of research and development.
