Objective
The student
-understands the principles of health promotion and knows how to act according to the values of health promotion.
-understands the economic perspective of health promotion.
-is able to apply existing knowledge of the population's health challenges at an individual and community level.
-knows how to plan, implement and evaluate individual, group and community-level health promotion methods.
-is able to prevent risk factors, which might impair the health and ability to function of the individual, family or community.
-knows how to ethically use the client's experiential knowledge in the care of health and diseases.
-can describe the strategies of important national and international health and social policy programmes from the perspective of health promotion.
-is able to describe project work in the context of developing nursing practice.
-knows how projects proceed through stages and the student is able to draw up project plans and reports.
-can present a plan and/or a report in a seminar or in a cooperation meeting in a work life setting.
Content
Practical training, including planning, implementation, evaluation and presentation of a health promotion assignment.
This practical training period is undertaken in collaboration with work life or during international exchange programmes or in another way, as agreed with the lecturer. Assignments.
Teaching methods
Contact teaching, independent group work, tasks.
The practical training involves planning, implementing, evaluating and presenting a health promotion task.
The training will be carried out in the context of a work placement or as an international exchange or in other way (to be agreed), where a training as a project is possible.
Student workload
The total workload for a student is 81 hours.

Further information
The traineeship takes place in a Living-lab, in a work-life cooperation or in a study exchange, or in any other separately agreed way, where a traineeship as a project is possible. There will be internship tasks.
If the placement involves the treatment of underage patients, the student must show a criminal record before starting the placement.

- does not master essential concepts or methods of project work.
- is not capable of creating project plans and has no understanding of how projects should be implemented and managed.
Assessment methods and criteria
The assessment will be based on:
- Completion of assignments and mastery of the theory and instructions for written work
- Group work skills.

National and Global Health and Health-Promotion in Nursing 3 cr
Basics of Clinical Nursing and Rehabilitation 6 cr
Supervised Clinical Training in the Basics of Clinical Nursing 7 cr

It is possible that in these clinical training environments may also be under-aged patients. Therefore, the student must show criminal record certificate before starting this training.
