Code: POLKUYRAK24

Duration:
1 years (30 cr)

Start semester:
Autumn 2024

Descriptions

This curriculum is for open Master-level UAS students. The curriculum includes first year studies in Master's Degree Programme in Construction (Open UAS Path Studies, Master's Degree Programme in Construction). There is also some personal study planning in the open university's path studies.

The programme is intended for engineers working in construction companies, engineering offices and other organizations who wish to develop their skills in expertise and who aim to advance in their career.

The programme grants graduates the same qualifications for job positions in the public sector as a master’s in an academic university.

Development

The programme is developed in collaboration with local construction companies and engineering offices. We have also close cooperation with some finnish UAS concerning teacher exchange and construction curriculum development.

Objective

The purpose of the programme is to enhance the expertise of professionals with adequate theoretical knowledge and to answer to the needs of the working life. The studies provide graduates with readiness to obtain the certification required by the authorities. The degree deepens and expands student’s knowledge of their profession and it is closely intertwined with the working life.
