Objective

The student recognises the duties and importance of the intermediate level between the content producer (artist) and the customer.
The student is able to build and develop an artist's brand and to produce solutions to support the marketing, sale, and company cooperation related to the artist's activities
The student is able to apply earning models in the professional field as well as knowledge of information, finances and agreements as part of the cultural manager's professional core competencies

Content

Structures, actors and terminology of different arts

Artist brand building
- principles of brand building
- differentiation
- choice of target group and customer benefits -> arousing the public's interest

Marketing, communication and interaction
- development of the manager's / agent's communication and interactive skills
- concrete methods and ways of the marketing of a content producer
- manager's and artist's interaction with different media (web, TV, radio, printed media)

Productisation, sale and company cooperation
- recognition of an artist's services as saleable and purchasable entities
- manager's role and activity in practical sales work
- building of the distribution channels of sale
- sponsoring of company cooperation packages and services

Knowledge of finances and agreements
- economic administration and management as part of the manager's work (budgeting, cash flow, profitability, pricing)
- different financing options in the development of the operations of a manager company and the artist
- agreements and law

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student recognises the structures and terminology of the different fields of art
The student is able to act in assistant duties of the intermediate level

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student recognises the structures, forms of activity, and terminology of the different fields of art and knows the professional special requirements of the intermediate level
The student is able to act as a manager
The student is able to prepare different artist agreements

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student recognises the structures, forms of activity, and terminology of the different fields of art and knows the professional special requirements of the intermediate level.
The student is able to act as a manager.
The student is able to make a management plan for an artist and, if needed, to productise the artist's competencies.
The student is able to prepare a cooperation agreement between an artist and an enterprise.
The student is able to prepare different artist agreements.
