Objective

Upon completion of the course, students will
- be able to do the most common measurements in automobiles and work machines.
- be able to use workshop equipment, meters and instruments.
- be able to do troubleshooting using them.

Content

- Inspections of engine, power-train, suspension, brakes, steering, chassis, hydraulic and electric systems
- Measurements of combustion, engine power, braking force, wheel alignment, body dimensions and bus-systems signals.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student can perform the most common measurements on cars, using workshop equipment.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student can perform the most common measurements on cars, using workshop equipment. The student will be able to analyse the results and draw conclusions from them.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to perform the most common measurements on cars, using workshop equipment and facilities. The student is able to critically analyse the results and is able to apply and find new solutions in problem situations.
