Students learn to define basic concepts and areas in the management of social services. Students will be able to name conditions and determinants, which are connected to organizing and implementing services in professional fields of Bachelor of Social Services. They are able to apply legislation and principles of governing while managing services. Students know what action is required by law and how services are shaped by international, national and local guidelines and policies, and they know how to apply them in the management of services in their professional field. Students understand the importance of cooperating with various stakeholders and they take an active role in cooperation. Students are familiar with decision-making processes in the public, private and third sector. They gain cost-awareness and financial planning competence.
