Objective
The student
- is able to understand his / her professional responsibility for securing and promoting the safety of patients receiving medication and fluid care.
- is able to plan, implement and evaluate safe medication and fluid care for various diseases.
- based on a doctor's instructions, the student is able to plan, implement and evaluate intravenous medication and fluid care and blood transfusions for patients of all ages.
- is able to observe side and combined effects of medicines and to evaluate the effectiveness of medication care.
- is able to do medication calculations correctly and administer the correct dose to the patient.

- Monitoring fluid balance
- Intravenous iv medication and fluid therapy
- Blood transfusion
- Peripheral vein IV-cannulation
- Safe use of alternative medication administration routes (CVK, portal vein, IO, PICC/ midline)
- Implementation of client- and patient-safe intravenous iv- medication dose and infusion
- Monitoring the effects of medication
