Objective

The student
-implements multi-professional nursing care for medical, neurological and infectious diseases or with nursing of clients with developmental disabilities or disability, while taking into consideration the patient's age, growth and development stage, the requirements of ethicality and the care and service setting.
-can plan, implement and evaluate nursing interventions for patients and family members of all ages and different backgrounds.
-is able to do documentation and oral reporting.
-can use evidence-based interventions, support and counsel patients and family members of all ages.
-is competent in common nursing procedures and diagnostic examinations used as part of acute or chronically ill patients' comprehensive care.
-knows how to safely plan, implement and evaluate medication and fluid care and blood transfusions for adult patients.
-knows how to implement nutritional care.
-knows how to support and promote patients' and families' health and ability to function.
-is able to help and support patients and family members of all ages in palliative care and end-of-life nursing situations.
-is able to counsel and support patients and families of all ages in self-care.
-can observe asepsis and is able to explain why this is important in nursing care.
-can evaluate his/ her professional competence critically from the perspectives of strengths and development needs.

Content

Practical training in settings that allow the student to practice nursing medical patients, cancer patients, neurological patients and infectious diseases patients, or practicing palliative and end-of-life care. eDrug Care Certificate. Writing of an assignment.
Drug calculations.

Qualifications

Starting training requires the completion of drug calculation module and participation in the training of basics clinical nursing skills. In addition, most of the workshop and simulation exercises must be completed.
