Objective
The student knows digestion capacity of dogs and how this affects use of possible feed ingredients, is able to compare ingredients, diets and methods of feeding, and can discuss these facts using professional terms. The student knows the main principles of planning of feeding and is able to use different data sources for planning and evaluation. The student understands and is able to take into account the effects of diet formulation on nutritional properties, nutrient composition and availability. The student is able to evaluate practical feeding.

• Properties of commercial compound feeds for dogs
• Requirements for nutrition and feeding in some special situations
• Diet formulation using commercial compound feeds and/or different raw ingredients

In addition, the student is able to use individual information retrieval and apply the knowledge for diet planning in different situations showing a critical and comprehensive approach
