Objective

The student
- knows the key actors and services of the third sector
- is able to apply the core competencies of a cultural manager in the third sector
- is able to act as a facilitator in communities and to design and implement a production for the third sector
- recognises different methods of participatory work and is able to apply some method with third-sector actors

Content

- concepts of civic activity
- first, second and third sectors
- future of voluntary work, professionalising organisational work, organisations and associations in relation to to State
- opportunities and future challenges of voluntary activity in cultural management
- potential development trends of civic activity as well as familiarisation with its practices
- idea, value and interest basis as the foundation for civic activity
- sociocultural work

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student knows the role and functions of the third sector in society and is able to name some key actors in it.
The student is able to design and implement a project in sociocultural work or part of it

The student knows the role and functions of the third sector in society and is able to name the key national actors in it.

The student is able to utilise their own professional special competencies in the third sector.
The student is able to design and implement a project in sociocultural work or part of it
The student masters the principles of facilitation
