The student is able to

- understand the importance of concept development as part of product development
- compare the differences between concept development and product design
- take into account the concept as a resource-saving method
- apply the basics of concept development methods in the creation of a new product/service idea
- develop an innovative idea together with the commissioner and/or the user as a project
- analyse the risks and opportunities of concept development
- apply the principles of concept protection
