Objective

The student knows the basic grammatical structures and the most central daily vocabulary.
The student is able to find information on the language.

The material will be provided by the teacher.

- contact lessons, spoken and written exercises, group and pair work

Exam schedules

Written exam in virtual Exam-room at the end of the course.
A failed exam can be retaken twice.

54 h.
Necessary amount of Independent studying and training in addition to the contact lessons.

Further information

Prerequisites: Previous studies of Swedish language at the upper secondary level of education. Students have the basics of Swedish, but the level of language skills is lower than CEFR B1.

The course helps pass the Swedish course, which is part of the degree.

Mandatory attendance is 50% in the course.

Written exam in virtual Exam-room at the end of the course.
Skills demonstration not possible.

Passed/failed

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student has a one-sided command of the basic vocabulary and grammar.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student has a fairly good command of the vocabulary of standard language. The student uses basic structures of the language almost without mistakes.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has a good command of vocabulary and uses structures fluently.

Assessment methods and criteria

The course is assessed pass/fail.

Written exam and exercises.
Students must pass the exam and exercises.

Pass: exercises submitted and passed. exam passed
Fail: exercises not submitted, and exam failed or not taken. Attendance is less than the mandatory 50%.
