Objective

Students will analyze the present situation of an agricultural enterprise and can justify how to develop the production. They will understand the principles of production planning, which leads to the best possible economic outcome. They will understand how the planning of production progresses when utilising the gross margin method.

Managing an agricultural enterprise
- Entrepreneurship and working as an entrepreneur
- Acquiring information and analysis of it
- Planning production according to the gross margin method
- Determining production alternatives, business results and solvency

Qualifications

Common professional studies and farming practise.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students have difficulties in understanding the effects of market economy system, productive resources and entrepreneurship in the planning of the production. They need a lot of support in making calculations and in the interpretation of results. They fall behind schedule.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students understand the effects of market economy system, productive resources and entrepreneurship in the planning of the production. They need some support in making calculations but can understand the significance of different components at farm-scale level. They work on schedule.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students can apply the rules of market economy system, the possibilities of productive resources and entrepreneurial activity in the planning of the production and understand the significance of different components at farm-scale level. They know how to utilize the planning methods and can make calculations with a minor support. They work on schedule.
