Objective

The student understands that a client-centered approach, nursing ethics and professionalism form the foundation of their work. The student can base his/her actions and decisions on evidence. The student understands how the promotion of health and functional capacity are both the starting point and the goal of their work. The student can evaluate and develop clinical nursing, teaching and counselling from the perspective of future competence requirements. The student is able to act and prioritize in nursing situations, which involve multiple simultaneous problems. The student knows how to work in multidisciplinary and multi-professional health and social services, while taking into account current development strategies in the setting. The student knows how to act as an expert in multidisciplinary and multi-professional work groups, teams and networks. The student is able to manage work groups and teams. The student can make use of eHealth, health technology and digital services in nursing. The student can promote data security and patient safety. The student is able to evaluate and develop the quality of nursing.

Practical training in settings which allow the student to practise and deepen the development of nursing expertise. The eDrug Care Certificate+ Drug Calculations. Assignments.

Qualifications

Previous theoretical nursing studies and practical training periods should be completed
Drug calculations
Study modules: Registered Nurse`s Competence in Basics of Clinical Nursing, Registered Nurse`s Evidence Based Clinical Competence Modules 1-3 and the Registered Nurse's Safe Medication and Fluid therapy Skills - the study credits should be completed.
At least 150 ECTS in basic studies.
Drug calculations passed.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student
-is not flexible in the work community, in the planning and implementation of work activities and tasks.
-takes into consideration the aspects related to patient safety and personal safety in their nursing.
-there are short-comings in co-operation skills.
-responsibility low
-not able to highlight his/her own strengths and areas for development.
-the theoretical view is narrow.
-activities inconsistent, superficial and mechanical.
-is taking care only of necessary activities.
-the encounter between the patient / client and the patient's / client's family is appropriate.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student
-understands her/his responsibilities to the patient / client and his / her family in their work.
-shows flexibility in the planning and implementation of work and works in collaboration with the patient / client, family and work community.
-there are still shortcomings in the management of entities, as well as in the application of information to new situations.
-allows new practices, but more in-depth reflection and evaluation is lacking.
-is motivated, active and willing to constantly learn new things.
-notices the overall situation, but is not yet able to fully operate accordingly.
-can reflect and see the reason-consequence relationship, but lacks a broader theoretical view.
-no malfunctions.
-the encounter between the patient / client and the family is correct and professional.
-acts as a member of the work community responsibly.
-shows flexibility in the planning and implementation of the work.
-understands the importance of patient / client and family resources in nursing.

-manages the overall situation and is able to act in accordance with its requirements.
-demonstrates in-depth control of the nursing knowledge base in both discussions and activities.

The student is unable to cooperate with the patient / client, family or work community. The student has deficiencies in independent work and situation management and the work is inflexible. The student avoids guidance situations. Absences and inaccuracies in the observance of working hours. The student does not act in a way appropriate to the situation or avoids situations.

It is possible that in these clinical training environments may also be under-aged patients. Therefore, the student must show his/ her criminal record certificate before starting this training.
