Upon completion of the course, students will
- understand the basic concepts of polymer chemistry.
- be familiar with the more common engineering plastics.
- know the technical characteristics of plastics and the areas of application.

Level 1-2: The student knows the most general plastic materials and their usage environment.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Level 3-4: The student is able to identify the most general plastic materials and their properties and to know the manufacturing technique.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Level 5: The student can adapt the choice of plastic material in the locations which are in accordance with the demands utilising a modern manufacturing technique.
