Objective
Students
- use theoretical knowledge to justify their choice of a topic for a development project
- plan and implement a development project pertaining to the promotion of health and welfare
-evaluate the success of the development project and discuss future action

-evaluate the feasibility of various development projects in practice and in their working environment
Content
Guidelines and structure for a written assignment
Selection of a topic and drawing up a plan for a development project

Assessment criteria, approved/failed
Pass: Students can clearly justify and define the scope of their development project. The purpose and aims of the project are realistic and clearly defined. Students are able to define and correctly use essential concepts related to their topic. Their written report includes an introduction to the topic, a despription of the current situation, a theoretical background and a justified choice of methods suitable for the aims. Students implement the project, present the results comprehensibly and evaluate the success of the overall process in relation to the aims of the project. Students suggest furher development and follow-up actions. The project text has been written according to the guidelines provided by Seinäjoki UAS. The language is correct and factual, based on the latest (15-20) sources. The written report must include a title page, followed by an abstract in Finnish, and it must include a list of contents and references. The overall lenght of the report is 15-20 pages.
Fail:
Students do not participate in tutoring sessions or presentation of the project.
Students have not achieved the learning outcomes and fail to demonstrate their competence.
