Objective
The student can tell about themselves and their physiotherapy education in Swedish. They are able to use professional terminology when they describe health and illness in clients, write patient descriptions and advise patients in various physiotherapy treatment situations.
Content
Swedish vocabulary for physiotherapy and health care, reading physiotherapy texts, writing assignments and practising interaction for physiotherapy practice. Topics: health promotion, common illnesses and interaction with patients in various treatments situations.

Material provided by the lecturer.
Teaching methods
Contact teaching, spoken and written exercises, work in groups and pairs, independent learning.
Student workload
Total work load of the course 80 h, out of which 24 h contact lessons, independent work 56 h.

80% compulsory attendance in lessons.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Grade 1
The student uses simple structures and limited vocabulary. Mistakes complicate understanding. The student understands slow and clear speech and relatively easy professional texts. They can cope with predictable worklife situations. The pronunciation is affected by other languages.

Grade 3
The student uses basic structures almost flawlessly and their basic professional vocabulary is comprehensible. They cope fairly well with predictable worklife situations. The pronunciation is understandable.

Grade 5
The student uses a variety of structures almost flawlessly and has command over extensive professional vocabulary. They are active, independent and fluent orally and in writing in worklife situations. Near-native pronunciation.

Assessment methods and criteria
Active participation in guided work and spoken exercises.
Writen and spoken exercises are to be performed according to the requirements. Written and oral exam.
