Objective
The student
- can explain the structure of the respiratory and circulatory system and describe its operating principles
- can describe anatomical structures of internal and sensory organs and explain their operating principles

Content
Content
- Breathing and the structure and function of the circulatory system
- Anatomy and physiology of the internal and sensory organs: thermoregulation, cell, tissues and skin, digestive system, kidneys, urine secretion and fluid balance, acid-base balance and immune system

Teaching methods
Opintojaksolla opetus toteutetaan lähiopetuksena:
- Teorialuennot
- Tunneille valmistavat tehtävät ja tuntitehtävät (yksilö- ja pienryhmätyöskentely)
- Itsenäinen opiskelu verkko-opetusympäristössä

Student workload
Opintojakson laajuus on 2 op (= 54h opiskelijan työtä). Opiskelu tapahtuu teorialuentojen ja opiskelijan itsenäisen ja ryhmätyöskentelyn menetelmin.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student
- can explain the structure of the respiratory and circulatory system in a limited way and describe its operating principles to some extent
- can outline and mechanically describe the anatomical structures of the internal and sensory organs and explain their operating principles in an incomplete manner

Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student
- can partially explain the structure of the respiratory and circulatory system and describe its operating principles in outline
- can describe the anatomical structures of internal and sensory organs in outline and partially explain their operating principles

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student
- can accurately explain the structure of the respiratory and circulatory system and describe its operating principles extensively
- can accurately describe the anatomical structures of the internal and sensory organs and explain their operating principles extensively
