Objective

Students will learn the functions of numerically controlled (NC) machines in today's field of engineering. They will understand NC programming and the manufacturing of products with an NC machine. The student is able to take into account economic factors in the choice of manufacturing technologies.

- Machining co-ordinates
- Economical manufacturing technologies
- CAM software and NC programming with a 3D model of a product

Students will do assignments using 3D-CAM software.

Students are familiar with CAM-program and the basic NC-machine operations

As above. In addition, students will be able to use the CAM-program for programming NC-programs for easy machined workpieces.

Excellent (5)
As above. In addition, students will be able to use independently NC-machine workpieces manufacture and use CAM-software.

No previous studies are required.
