Objective

Upon completion of the course, students will be competent in:
- interpreting and using the standardised methods of technical drawing including standard scales, symbols and diagrams.
- utilising methods of illustration for mechanical drawings and creating the required projections of an object to be designed.
- using a three-dimensional, computer-aided designing (CAD) environment to create simple 3D models and standardised technical documents.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Satisfactory (1 - 2): The student knows the basics of technical drawing and CAD. The student knows the standard symbols and the importance of planning. The student knows and understands to a basic concepts and methods of topics, and is able to apply them to usual problems.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good (3 -.4): The student is able to read technical drawings. The student is able to make CAD drawings related to the given assignments. The student is familiar with the concepts and methods of topics, and is able to apply them to different types of problems.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent (5): The student is interpreting and using the standardised methods of technical drawing including standard scales, symbols and diagrams. He is utilising methods of illustration for mechanical drawings and creating the required projections of an object to be designed. The student knows the knowledge objectives of the course well and can apply their knowledge in practice.
