Tavoitteet

Competence in the construction process
The student knows the principles of massive timber production processes. The student knows the repair methods of a log building.

Competence in structural engineering
The student understands the special characteristics of massive timber as construction material. The student understands the leading principles of planning and dimensioning of log and CLT structures.

The student is able to name the key concepts of log and CLT construction and explain their meaning.

In addition to the above abilities, the student is able to apply the basic concepts of log and CLT construction in different tasks and to give reasons for their solutions.
