Embedded PC systems (3cr)

Objective

Student can design applications for embedded PC using Windows and Linux operating systems

Content

Students will create a PC104-based embedded measurument and control system. They will install the Windows and Linux operating systems on it and construct a simple application with C-programming using analog and digital I/O. Students will work in groups.

Qualifications

No previous studies are required.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent (5): The student can utilize learned skills in demanding projects.
Good (3-4): The student masters well principles of embedded PC system design and knows most popular embedded PC hardware standards.
Satisfactory (1-2): The student knows the basics.
