Descriptions

The programme aims to increase professional knowledge and development skills in social and health care services. Upon completing the program, the student will have grown into a development and management professional capable of independent decision-making, working with management, or taking on demanding developmental and expert tasks in social and health care organizations.

Studies focus on the development and management of social and health care services, which is common to all. The advanced elective studies advance the student’s personal career development. Students gain insight into the development of social and health care services and can specialize in business orientated approach, digitalization, management, global thinking, and development approach.

The thesis process will start during the first semester. The studies of research and development support the progress of the thesis process throughout the study program. Furthermore, the study program includes elective studies that contribute to the student´s professional development.

Multi-modal learning methods are used. Each course includes three days of contact sessions. Emphasis is placed on independent work, group collaboration as well as solving distance learning assignments and responsible studying online. The studies will include work-life focus so that students can use their own organizations and work for their learning tasks.

Development

Students come from the working life, giving possibilities to link studies to development of working life. Close collaboration with other Master's degree Programmes within SeAMK and projects can be done in collaboration with SeAMK RDI projects and international network.

Objective

Students will increase their knowledge and skills in development, entrepreneurship, and management of social and health care. The programme gives tools to develop work communities in the field of social and health care, and to innovate new operational models and ways of working.
