Objective

Learning outcomes of the course
Students will be competent in using mathematical programs (Excel, Mathcad, Matlab) to solve practical mathematical problems.

Working community competence
Students are able to present the stages of mathematical problem solving orally and in writing and also via online and virtual communication. Students are able to function in various groups and teams and to manage teams, which seek solutions for mathematical problems.

Quality management competence
Students are able to apply both exact and approximate methods to determine the correctness of mathematical work.

The student knows and understands to a satisfactory extent the basic concepts and methods of mathematical programs (Excel, Mathcad, Matlab) and is able to apply them to usual problems.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is familiar with the concepts and methods of mathematical programs (Excel, Mathcad, Matlab), and is able to apply them to different types of problems. The student is able to combine the accumulated knowledge and skills with previous experiences in the subject.
