English, preparatory course (2cr)

Objective

The student will have a good knowledge of English standard language. In addition he/she will be able to use both in writing and orally field-specific vocabulary needed in studies.

Tasks which give practice in language structures and grammar
Texts which improve vocabulary of Business English

The course is assessed pass/fail.
Pass:
Students use simple structures and limited vocabulary in spoken and written communication, but mistakes may to some extent disturb understanding. They understand slow and clear speech and field-related texts and manage reasonably well in familiar everyday situations. Understandable pronunciation.

80% compulsory attendance in lessons.
