Degree: Master of Engineering.

The Master’s Degree Programme in Conctruction is a university of applied sciences degree with close ties to the working life. The programme grants graduates the same qualifications for job positions in the public sector as a master’s in an academic university.

Level of qualification

The degree programme leads to a higher education degree which is a second cycle Master-level degree in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). According to the eight-level classification of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) the degree represents level 7.

Profile of the programme

The purpose of the programme is to enhance the expertise of professionals with adequete theoretical knowledge and to answer to the needs of the working life. The studies provide graduates with readiness to obtain the certification required by the authorities. The degree deepens and expands student’s knowledge of their profession and it is closely intertwined with the working life.

Occupational profiles

The aim of the degree programme is to provide graduates with readiness to work in demanding duties, such as project, production and designing manager, in the field of construction.

Structure of the studies

Studies in structural design provide graduates with required competence based on theoretical studies. Teaching concentrates on designing according the Eurocode system (timber, steel and concrete structures), Structural Mechanics and Building Physics.

Studies in production provide graduates with competence in Project Management, Contracting, Business Economics and BIM.

Mode of study

This programme is a part of our adult education. Students attend part-time and teaching takes place through various modes on weekends (Fri. –Sat.). Intensive study weeks in august/september and in may/june are possible.
