Structural Design Project 1Laajuus (5 cr)

Code: 8D00DT17

Objective

Competence in structural engineering
The objective of the project studies is to reinforce students’ competence in construction and develop their skills in combining theory with practice. Students design the structures of a single-family house and draw up structural designs.

Competence in the construction process
The student is able to
- explain the character of project work
- present the basic knowledge and skills on the basis of which he/she can participate in construction project work and project planning
- explain concepts connected with projects, content of a project plan, project time planing and supervising (life circle)
- present tasks connected with the different phases of the project cycle

Content
