Objective

The student can simplify mathematical expressions, solve equations, and handle functions. The student understands the basic calculation rules of trigonometric functions and vectors. The student conducts basic measurements and evaluates the associated uncertainty. Additionally, the student creates a graphical representation of a function and performs regression analysis with a spreadsheet program.

Content

Simplifying polynomial and fractional expressions, solving first and second degree equations and systems of equations, calculating the value of a function and plotting its graph, the slope and equation of a straight line, basic calculations for triangles, trigonometry, and vectors, graphical differentiation and integration, uncertainty calculation, and graphical representations

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student recognizes simple mathematical expressions, equations, and functions. The student solves simple equations and handles simple mathematical expressions and functions. The student performs basic measurement work and its analysis. The student stays on schedule.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student understands and utilizes mathematical expressions, equations, and functions. The student solves equations and handles mathematical expressions and functions. The student creates and understands the graphical representation of a function and regression analysis with a spreadsheet program. The student stays on schedule.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the previous skills, the student applies equation-solving and expression-handling skills to solve various mathematical problems. The student seeks alternative solutions in mathematical problems and evaluates the suitability of the used method. The student stays on schedule.
