Objective

The student understands the principles and differences between scientific research and research-based development activities. The student can apply some development methods in research-based development activities within their field. The student understands the importance of research ethics and good scientific practice in research-based development activities. The student can apply both quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Contact teaching: Lectures independent and group learning assignments, seminar presentations and exam

5 cr = 40 hours of contact time and 90 hours of independent work

The student can describe development methods, as well as quantitative and qualitative research methods.

The student is able to compare various development methods, as well as quantitative and qualitative research methods, and can select the most suitable ones for different research and/or development projects in their field.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can justify key research and development topics relevant to their professional field and can select, analyze, and apply development methods as well as quantitative and qualitative research methods to these topics.
