Tavoitteet

The student is able to
- explain the character of project work and determine when the project work model is useful
- present the basic knowledge and skills on the basis of which he/she can participate in project work and project planning
- explain concepts connected with projects, content of a project plan, project time planing and supervising (life circle)
- present tasks connected with the different phases of the project cycle

- project phases and process
- project plan (time, resource and cost planning)
- project organisation and interest groups
- changes, risks and problems in project work
- project communication and reporting
- concluding a project

Aika ja paikka

The schedules can be found in the timetable at https://lukkarikone.seamk.fi/. Timetables are published for the next six weeks. The first six weeks of autumn are published by Midsummer and the first six weeks of spring by Christmas. Timetables may be subject to changes.

Teacher delivers materials and links in Moodle.

Opetusmenetelmät

The study involves contact teaching and requires attendance at the SEAMK campus.

The course is conducted in the Moodle learning environment. The course requires independent work and scheduling.

- The course includes joint online meetings/pair or group work at campus.
- The course includes laboratories at the SEAMK campus.
- The student familiarizes themselves with the theoretical material, completes online assignments / practice project / exam according to the given instructions.

Lectures and guided exercises 32 h, independent study 50 h

The workload of the study is designed so that one credit corresponds to an average of 27 hours of student work to achieve the learning objectives. The actual time required varies individually, e.g., due to prior knowledge.

The student can name and can define the central concepts which describe Project and Project management. Student can define basic skills required for working as part of Project team. Student can explain different phases of the project cycle.
