Tavoitteet

Students are able to read and analyze scientific text. Student are capable of reporting R&D works by writing.

Sisältö

Students go through basic structure of scientific reporting and evaluate scientific texts. They are able to find research question, research method and relevant results and conclusions from texts.
They also produce scientific text during the course.

Students are free to decide how to use the 80 hours in regards to completing course tasks.

Pass: Students can produce complex, academic texts. Plagiarism is not found in the texts. Students can write citations and create a bibliography. Few mistakes in style, grammar and tone. Vocabulary is at high level.
The APA quiz is passed according to the instructions
All Moodle tasks are completed

Fail: Students are not capable of producing academic texts. Plagiarism is found in the texts. Students are not able to write in the academic style. Citations and bibliography formats are not followed. Students produce simple texts. Many mistakes in style, grammar and tone. Limited vocabulary.
The APA quiz is failed

Pass:
The student attends the course meetings (unless the course is online) and, during them, demonstrates the competencies defined as the learning goals of the course and/or acceptably carries out the possible assignments related to the course.
Fail:
The student does not achieve the learning goals of the course and is not able to demonstrate their competencies.

Lisätiedot

Students must progress through the course according to the schedule.
Students must hand in all tasks at the deadlines and the tasks must be at an acceptable level.
Inactive students will get an immediate fail for the course and be removed.
Please bring a laptop to the lesson.
