Objective

Student:
- Familiarizes with the patient's perioperative care pathway and perioperative care environment
- Internalize the work tasks of perioperative nurses.
- Gets acquainted with the most common types of anesthesia and is able to name the most typical drugs used in anesthesia
- Get acquainted with the technology in the operating room and identify the most typical equipment and tools used in the operating room
- Evaluate their own qualities for working as a perioperative nurse

Teaching methods

Students complete the course on their own schedule independently. The course includes different themes, which include various small competence tasks.
The course contains introductory information as a recording. The teachers of the course are available for questions related to the course on Thu 11 February 2021 at 4 pm and Thu 29 April 2021 at 4 pm. Online meetings are voluntary.
All assignments for the course must be returned no later than May 9, 2021.

Opiskelijat suorittavat opintojaksoa omassa aikataulussaan itsenäisesti. Opintojakso sisältää eri teemoja, joihin sisältyy erilaisia pieniä osaamistehtäviä.
Opintojakso sisältää aloitusinfon tallenteena. Opintojakson opettajat ovat saatavilla verkossa jaksoon liittyvissä kysymyksissä to 11.2.2021 klo 16 ja to 29.4.2021 klo 16. Verkkotapaamiset ovat vapaaehtoisia.
Kaikki opintojakson tehtävät tulee olla palautettuna viimeistään 9.5.2021

Opiskelija suorittaa opintojakson kaikki tehtävät hyväksytysti.
Opiskelija:
-perehtyy potilaan perioperatiiviseen hoitopolkuun ja perioperatiiviseen hoitoympäristöön
-sisäistää perioperatiivisten sairaanhoitajien työntehtäviä.
-tunnistaa yleisimpiä anestesiamuotoja ja nimeää tyypillisimpiä anestesiahoitotyössä käytettäviä lääkkeitä
-perehtyy leikkausosaston teknologiaan ja tunnistaa tyypillisimmät käytettävät laitteet ja välineet leikkausosastolla
-Arvioi omia lähtökohtiaan työskennellä perioperatiivisessa hoitoympäristössä
