Osaamistavoitteet
The student is able to configure and program control systems (PLCs) used in manufacturing automation. In groups of two to three, students implement automation applications for various material-handling stations, applying and testing the knowledge and skills acquired in the theoretical part of the course. In the implementations, the control of the equipment is designed to be as energy-efficient as possible.
Sisältö
In the laboratory sessions, students carry out programming exercises on various PLC-controlled material-handling systems. Both the software and the physical equipment are products commonly used in industry, enabling students to directly apply the experience gained in the laboratory to real industrial environments. The control of the devices is implemented using PLCs, touch panels, and industrial fieldbuses that are widely used in the industry. The actuators include electric motors and pneumatic cylinders.
Esitietovaatimukset
Programmable Logic Controllers, Machine Automation 1 or similar knowledge and skills
Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1)
The student is able to configure a programmable logic controller (PLC) according to given instructions. They can program and test the basic functions of a PLC-controlled device. The student is able to work with group members and resolve basic problems that arise during the task.
Arviointikriteerit, hyvä (3)
In addition to meeting the satisfactory level, the student can independently apply, program, and test special functions of PLCs. Together with the group, the student is able to verify and ensure that the programs are safe to use.
Arviointikriteerit, kiitettävä (5)
The student works efficiently and systematically within the group. In addition to device configuration, they are able to identify and correct various hardware and programming issues. Together with the group, the student ensures that the final result is a reliable, safe, and well-documented program in which the programming solutions take sustainable development principles into account, such as energy efficiency, user interface accessibility, and reusability of software structures.
Student creates new functionalities that are not directly given in work instructions and justifies their usefulness and relevance in a consistent and techically sound manner.
Oppimateriaalit
