Objective
The student
knows the basic structures and vocabulary of the language
can communicate in the target language in simple situations
can write simple messages
can identify the culture and characteristics of the German speaking countries.
The student will achieve the European Framework of Reference for Languages level A1.2
Content
Vocabulary topics:
- family, leisure time, living, small talk, hobbies
- accommodation, buying tickets, describing directions, sight seeings, weather?
- shop, restaurant, concert tickets.
Grammar topics.
- strong verbs, possessive pronouns, genitive, subordinate clauses (dass, weil, wenn)?
- modal verbs, separable verbs, nouns with dative case + prepositions, man pronoun
- dative forms of personal pronouns, present perfect (sein + haben), imperfect with haben and sein
Qualifications
German 1 (3 cr) or equivalent knowledge
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Both the written and oral exams and the module tests are passed.
The student has paid limited attention to the feedback from the oral assignments in the final exam.
Speech is understandable, although there are problems with pronunciation.
Artificial intelligence has been used for some tasks.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student has passed both the written and spoken exams.
The student has partially taken into account the feedback from the spoken tasks in the final exam. The pronunciation is similar to the target language, although mistakes can occur.
No artificial intelligence has been used for the assignments.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student has passed both the written and spoken exams.
The student has taken into account the feedback from the spoken and pronunciation tasks in the final exam. The pronunciation sounds like the target language.
