Objective
The student:
1. Is able to act according to the values and ethical guidelines of the social and health care field, and to promote health and wellbeing as well as social rights fulfilment in interdisciplinary case management.
2. Is able to apply client- and service coordination related theory and research data in planning, implementation and evaluation of his/her work.
3 .Masters the work prerequisites and requirements of social security regulations, legislation and service system.
4. Is able to structure the basics of service production and evaluate service suitability for clients’ support needs.
Content
- the concept and theoretical grounds of interdisciplinary case management
- models of service coordination in interdisciplinary case management in social and health care client work: general, resource-based, and intensive service coordination case management
- interdisciplinary case management work with different client groups
- client work ethical competence in social services and health care
- fundamental legislation for interdisciplinary case management in social and health care
- interdisciplinary case management in reforming social and health care service structure
- central targets, contents, results and recommendations of interdisciplinary case management projects

The student is able to apply theoretical and research knowledge of interdisciplinary case management. The student indicates familiarity with social and health care values and ethical guidelines in interdisciplinary case management. The student knows the social security regulations, legislation, and service system. The student is familiar with the methods that promote wellbeing, health, and social justice in interdisciplinary case management and uses them. The student can structure the basics of service production and evaluate service suitability for clients’ support needs.
