Objective
Students will become familiar with drug care regulations and aware of their responsibilities in handling medines and in the drug care of older clients. They will be familiar with the drug care of common diseases and use their knowlege in the implementation of drug care. Students will be aware of special problems and typical side effects in older people's medication. Students will learn various dosage forms and routes of medication, and they will assume responsibility for handling drugs safely and correctly. Students are able to perform drug calculations. They examine older people's drug care from the perspective of sustainable development. Students evaluate their development needs as regards drug care issues.

Students are aware of their responsibilities in handling drugs and in implementing drug care and drug care counselling of older people. They are able to explain the ethical perspective in decisionmaking concerning older people's drug care. Students are able to flawlessly explain the entire pharmacological care process of older clients.

Students are able to explain their responsibilities in handling drugs and in implementing drug care and counselling of older people on drug care. They are able to examine the ethical perspective in decisionmaking concerning older people's drug care. Students know how to flawlessly implement the entire pharmacological care process of older clients.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Students are aware of and able to justify their responsibilities in handling drugs and able to implement drug care and drug care counselling of older people in a flexible manner. They produce ideas for the development of decisionmaking in older people's drug care. Students know how to flawlessly plan and implement the entire pharmacological care process of older clients.
