Objective

Students will learn to recognize the need for immediate first aid, know how to administer first aid in demanding situations and become motivated to keep their skills and knowledge up-to-date.

Content

First aid for acute illnesses and accidents.

No previous studies are required.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

SATISFACTORY
Students recognize the need for immediate first aid and know how to administer it. They follow the principles of first aid in various emergency situations so that they do not cause deterioration in the patient's condition.

FAIL
Students do not recognize the need for immediate first aid and do not know how to administer it. They do not know how to follow the principles of first aid in various emergency situations.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

GOOD
Students recognize the need for immediate first aid and know how to administer it. They follow the principles of first aid in various emergency situations, to some extent considering the overall situation.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

EXCELLENT
Students recognize the need for immediate first aid and know how to administer it. They follow the principles of first aid in various emergency situations, taking into consideration the overall situation.

Students will be given a reading list.
