Objective

Students learn to define the concepts of social engagement/participation and marginalization and recognize their connections to social work field. Students know how to examine themes related to social engagement and marginalization, especially from the perspectives of poverty, addictions, criminality, homelessness, unemployment and loneliness. They learn to see issues of social engagement and marginalization as belonging to their scope of practice in the social field.
